I’m incredibly lucky I got to cut my copywriting teeth writing radio. It taught me how to make every second count and gave me a crash course in balancing creativity, strategy, production, and client relationships all at once.
During these early days of my career, I wore all the hats: creative, producer, strategist, liaison, you name it. I collaborated with regional marketing managers to build briefs from the ground up. I wrote, pitched, and polished scripts. And I worked alongside production companies to crank out hundreds of tagged spots across the entire FCA-USA footprint.
Oh, and one fun fact I’ll always cherish: I had the honor of writing Sam Elliott’s very last RAM spot.
